Our Story

Pegasus Connections was founded to provide an alternative to traditional therapy and services offered to individuals and thier families, by a veteran, Shane Healey, and a veteran's family member, Peta Lowe. It was founded with the recognition that the current services offered did not meet the needs of everyone, from the lived experience of both founders who have each experienced the broader support services paradigm. Pegasus Connections seeks to provide support and services for any individuals, families, groups or workplaces who want to utilise the unique benefits of nature and partnerships with horses to build awareness and growth.

Location

Pegasus Connections is currently delivering services primarily in partnership with Chapman Valley Horse Riding.

Jodie Clark (2022)

“Horses have been used for therapeutic purposes since the time of the ancient Greeks. The Greek physician Hippocrates, known as the "Father of Medicine," wrote about the therapeutic potential of horseback riding."”
