Who are we?

Pegasus Connections was founded to provide an alternative to traditional therapy and services offered to individuals and their families, by a veteran, Shane Healey, and a veteran's family member, Peta Lowe.

It was founded with the recognition that the current services offered did not meet the needs of everyone, from the lived experience of both founders who have each experienced the broader support services paradigm.

Pegasus Connections seeks to provide support and services for any individuals, families, groups or workplaces who want to utilise the unique benefits of nature and partnerships with horses to build awareness and growth.

What do we do?

  • We assist groups and organisations to build effective teams and improve team functioning, wellbeing and productivity through outdoor team building activities, equine assisted relationship building and corporate coaching.

  • We assist individuals and families to build awareness, communication and acceptance with self and others through partnering with horses and identifying patterns, connecting with strengths and creating change in moments.

  • We work with veterans, first responders and their families to increase awareness of self and others, build effective communication skills, recognise and release trauma responses and empower growth.

Where are we?

Pegasus Connections is currently delivering services primarily in partnership with Chapman Valley Horse Riding.

Chapman Valley has been run as a beef cattle farm for over 180 years, and is now cared for by the 5th and 6th generations of the Chapman family. Ten years ago on a cool Autumn day, whilst riding through the bush in search of cattle, they reflected on the fact that such a beautiful part of the world was quietly sitting here, never to be seen or appreciated by anyone but themselves and what a shame that was. They decided it was time that others were able to share in the serenity, so began offering horse riding tours and places set up to camp for those needing an escape from the hustle and bustle. The property is 6000 acres in size, surrounded by the Yengo and Wollemi National Parks. Chapman Valley has always been committed to enhancing the wellbeing of visitors to the property, for many it can be from the peace and serenity to the healing benefits from time with our horses. In line with this commitment, Chapman Valley have partnered with Pegasus Connections. This partnership will open up the beautiful property, horses and facilities for innovative and impactful programs that harness the therapeutic benefits of interacting with our beloved horses.
